The third edition has been updated to at a minimum cover the ABIH required equations (as of 2017) but goes beyond that list to include many other helpful calculations to either assess exposure or design engineering controls. There have been many changes in the equations since the last offering, variable names have changed, there are metric unit only equations that must be recognized and some equations were deleted from the old list. This new third edition covers the rubrics listed below. Download a sample eBook/PDF to see the unique layout of this 2017 edition of one of a book that has been used as library references, class textbook, desktop reference and field handbook for the traveling professional. The book is especially useful for the certification candidate and is a "must have reference" for those studying for the various certification exams offered around the world.

Certified Safety Professional
This book is the result of the combined efforts of a number of experienced well-recognized professionals. The authors were part of the faculty for courses at the Harvard School of Public Health. It was clear through interaction with students and other professionals in the field that there is a need for a direct, straightforward approach to learning and using the myriad of calculations associated with occupational safety in the 21st century. The BSCP no longer provides an equation list. They provide required topic areas for the certification candidate to demonstrate their capabilities. The BCSP provides an equation with the examination question. This is particularly challenging to the candidate. They must be prepared for many different challenges. The topic areas covered by this book include:
- Engineering Economy
- Heat Stress
- System Safety
- Boolean Math
- General Science
